Matt Hancock is being paid nearly half a million pounds to appear on the reality series I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, according to a report.

Sources told The Sun that the Tory MP was being paid around £400,000 to take part in the ITV series.

The former health secretary has insisted he will make a sizeable donation to charity but the decision to take part in the reality series has infuriated families who lost loved ones during the pandemic.

An insider told The Sun: “Matt’s pay deal with I’m A Celebrity is around £400,000 which is one of the largest ever show fees to have been paid out.
