Jordan Henderson spotted filming video at Anfield as huge transfer hint dropped

The Liverpool captain’s exit from the club is edging increasingly closer and a video of Jordan Henderson seemingly saying his goodbyes has now emerged on social media

Jordan Henderson appears to have been spotted filming a goodbye video for Liverpool fans ahead of his controversial transfer to Al-Ettifaq.

The Reds captain has been at Anfield since 2011 and overseen one of the most illustrious periods in the club’s recent history, skippering Liverpool to the Champions League in 2019 before ending their 30-year wait for a league title the following season. His time at the club seems to have reached its end, however, as he looks to link up with former team-mate Steven Gerrard, now manager of the Saudi Arabian club.

Footage has emerged of what looks to be Henderson in the middle of the pitch at an empty Anfield with a cameraman following his every move as he looks around the stadium.

The pursuit of the 33-year-old veteran has been spearheaded by Reds icon Gerrard, who was appointed as the Saudi outfit’s new head coach earlier on this summer. Fans of both clubs are still awaiting official confirmation of the switch, but it is becoming clear that Al-Ettifaq and Liverpool have reached an agreement worth £12million for Henderson’s services in the Middle East.
