AFTER playing a cheeky window cleaner, being crowned King of the Jungle and winning Dancing On Ice, Joe Swash can now add “documentary maker” to his CV.
I can reveal the former EastEnders favourite is fronting a TV special about foster care.
And BBC bosses believe he could have the same popular appeal as Stacey Dooley and Zara McDermott, who’ve been so successful in bringing similar investigations to the masses.
The one-off show is called Teens In Crisis and will see Joe spend time with youngsters in care, a subject close to his heart as his mother, Catherine, is a foster mum.
A TV insider said: “The BBC love Joe’s everyman appeal and believe he can attract a type of audience who wouldn’t usually tune in for a documentary.
