President Joe Biden has agreed with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping that threats of the use of nuclear weapons by Vladimir Putin’s Russia are a threat to the world.
Biden said he and Xi have “reaffirmed our shared belief that the use of nuclear weapons [is] totally unacceptable” amid continued fears of Russian aggression.
The US president also claimed there was no “new Cold War” with China.
Xi and Biden met in Bali, Indonesia and discussed key issues such as the ‘One China’ policy regarding the future of Taiwan, North Korean missile tests and Russia’s nuclear capabilities.
