 Jennifer Garner has raised eyebrows after a resurfaced clip shows the Daredevil actress questioning Regina King about her ancestry. The two Hollywood actresses sat down together in an episode of Netflix's Dinner Party: My Experience in 2017. Alongside a host of fellow actors, including Mary McCormack and Chelsea Handler, the group discussed their families and 'where they came from.' Chelsea, who introduced the topic, encouraged Regina to go first, to which the Ray actress explained: 'I grew up here in LA, born and bred, one of the few people that are born and bred in LA so that's I think a very cool thing and I wear it on my chest very proudly because so many people say, 'Oh, LA is this and LA is that,' and I'm like, well, you're not from LA, so you don't really know it.' The camera then panned to Alias actress Jennifer, 51, who stared at Regina, 52, as she spoke, and then asked: 'But do you know where your ancestors are from?' Regina became visibly uncomfortable and laughed off the question before answering awkwardly: 'Uh, yeah, we're part of the triangle slave trade between Sierra Leone, Liberia and Senegal but my parents are both from the South.' She added: 'To this day, I'm totally grateful my mum left. My mum was the one that was like, 'I am f*****g out of this b***h' and I'm going to see what else is out here', and she came to LA.' Six years later and the clip is doing the rounds on social media with many in the Black community feeling there were 'microaggressions' behind Jennifer's line of questioning. 'This p***ed me off. And the look in her eyes before she asked said it all,' one commented. Another viewer weighed in: 'No where are your ancestors from, Jenny?! This broad is nutty.
