The chat will be remembered for different reasons, however, after the 43-year-old paid homage to his roots by revealing almost all in the thong-like attire from his homeland. After host Kimmel asked the star about what he was wearing in a recent Instagram video in which he went skipjack tuna fishing, Momoa explained: "That's a traditional Malo, it's what the Hawaiians wear." He continued: "I'm doing a show. I'm a creator and writer and director and producer and actor on this Apple series called Chief of War and it's all 1780s, 1790s Hawaii. "That's what I wear every day, and I was just getting ready for the role because I like to get into character and so I was tanning my white a**e." Asked by 54-year-old Kimmel if the attire was comfortable, he replied: "Oh my god, yes! I actually don't like wearing clothes anymore. I'm in it every day. I wear it all the time." To emphasise his point, the actor then rose from his seat and began slowly removing his blazer and silk pyjamas. With the Malo protecting his modesty the actor then turned 180 degrees to reveal his bare behind to the enthralled audience. It comes a month after Momoa impressed fans with his latest ink work. On his way to New Zealand, he revealed he had a brand new head tattoo. He gave a shoutout to Hawaiian artist Sulu'ape Keone Nunes at the time and said it had been "20 years in the making". Taking off his hat, he gave his followers a look at his new tribal tattoo, which was in prime position on the side of his freshly shaved head, while his trademark locks stayed long on top.
