Jason Aldean defends controversial music video and song lyrics amid ‘pro-lynching’ claims

Country music artist Jason Aldean has once again defended his controversial music video and song lyrics to Try That In A Small Town as ‘pro-lynching’ accusations continue to swirl

American country music star Jason Aldean has doubled down on his controversial son Try That In A Small Town just days after releasing a statement following backlash.

The singer has been accused of having “pro-lynching” and racist lyrics in his hit song which was released in May. Although the track came out weeks ago, the music video for it only came out last week.

And Jason appears to be sticking to his guns, with the singer seemingly adamant on his song not containing any racist of “pro-lynching” connotations.

In a video posted online from a performance in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jason can be heard saying: “I’ve seen a lot of stuff suggesting I am this, suggesting I am that. Here’s the thing, I feel like everybody is entitled to their opinion you can think something all you want to, it doesn’t mean it is true.”
