Jared Goff admitted to not caring about if he has earned the respect of Detroit Lions supporters who do not have an inside view of the locker room or the organization
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Golf “don’t care” if he has won the respect of anyone outside the locker room – especially any who doubted his abilities to lead the franchise.
The Lions acquired Goff in part of the deal that sent Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. Recently, the Lions signal caller was asked his thoughts on whether he receives the respect he deserves from critics outside the locker room.
“I don’t care,” Goff said through Detroit Free Press. “Don’t care. I don’t even know if I do or not. Try to win games for this team. That’s all. Always good to have the little chip on your shoulder that you want to prove people wrong.”
Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell was also asked if he believes Goff receives the respect that he deserves. Campbell answered that he didn’t know if Goff got that respect but continued his praises.
