Jamie Lynn Spears has quietly broken her silence on big sister Britney Spears’ split from Sam Asghari.
The 41-year-old pop icon has parted ways with the budding actor, 29, after a series of arguments and cheating allegations, according to reports. The couple tied the knot in front of celebs including Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez and Paris Hilton in June last year, but Britney’s family – including sons Jayden and Sean – were absent from the ceremony.
Jamie Lynn and Britney have had a turbulent relationship over the last few years, with the Womaniser hitmaker previously calling out her sister’s lack of support during her controversial 13-year conservatorship, accusing the Zoey 101 star of making money from the legal restrictions imposed on the pop star.
She also called Jamie Lynn “scum” in an emotional post on Instagram, but in recent months Britney and her little sister, 32, have buried the hatchet and repaired their relationship, with the singer visiting the former Nickelodeon star on the set of Zoey 102 in June.
