James Corden has paid tribute to Takeoff after the rapper was shot dead in Texas this week, at the age of 28.
The Migos star, real name Kirsnick Khari Ball, was killed in Houston, Texas on Tuesday when a shooting took place at a bowling alley where he’d enjoyed an evening with his uncle, Migos member Quavo, and dozens of other friends at a private party.
James paid tribute on The Late Late Show this week, remembering times he had spent with the rapper – and the nickname he had given to James.
He told viewers: ‘I just want to take this moment to say how utterly devastated we were to wake up to the news that at the age of 28, Takeoff has tragically died.
