James Corden addresses quitting show before it’s ‘tarnished’

James Corden, 44, has addressed the reason behind his exit from The Late Late Show, saying he wants to go before it becomes ‘tarnished’. The Gavin & Stacey star opened up about his time on the show just after the furore surrounding a row with a restaurant boss that saw him get ‘banned’ from a New York City eatery.In a new interview, James explained that now was the right time to leave the show before it got ‘tiresome’.He told Radio Times: ‘It’s been so perfect. It was wrong, it was an unnecessary, ungracious comment.’The furore began after his wife Julia ordered an off-the-menu omelette dish consisting of only yolk, as she is “severely allergic” to egg whites.
