 Israel's Prime Minister was rushed to hospital today, his office has said. Benjamin Netanyahu reported feeling unwell and was taken to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer, near Tel Aviv. He underwent medical assessments and is now in good condition. According to Israeli media, he was taken there fully conscious from his private residence in coastal Caesarea. Also known as 'Bibi', Mr Netanyahu's far-right government is the most religious in Israel's history. He has served as his country's prime minister three times and is the longest-serving Prime Minister since Israel's independence. Protests and loud boos could be heard as the pair posed for photographs outside No 10. Protesters campaigning for Palestinian human rights also protested the visit. Mr Netanyahu has also been on trial for fraud, breach of trust and accepting bribes after a series of scandals which involved wealthy associates. Protesters believe the government, the most right-wing in Israel's history, is dragging the nation towards authoritarianism by upending its system of checks and balances. Just a 15-minute drive from the Sheba Hospital Mr Netanyahu is being treated in is Pinchas Rosen Street. Initial reports suggest that after running pedestrians over, the driver jumped out of the car, trying to stab people. Police spokesperson Eli Levi told Kan radio this was a deliberate attack, and that a civilian shot and killed the driver.
