Fortnite Update 25.20 marks the first update in about a month and brings Futurama content to the game
Fortnite is down for maintenance today to prepare for the arrival of Fortnite Update 25.20 â which marks the first update Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 has had in almost a month.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 has been â to put it politely â a bit of a let down so far. The trip into the Wilds hasn’t been able to follow Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2’s absolute onslaught of new content, which was made even worse when updates were delayed due to the season correlating with Epic Games staff taking some well-earned time off over the summer.
The official Fortnite status account has tweeted about the impending Fortnite x Futurama crossover, which is dropping today with update 25.20. As usual, downtime will begin at July 26 at 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 9am BST. Matchmaking is set to be disabled shortly before this time. In the past this has usually been around 30 minutes before the Fortnite downtime is set to begin, so expect to get kicked out of the servers around 12.30am PDT / 3.30am EDT / 8.30am BST.
Despite the long time between patches, Fortnite update 25.20 seems to be a decidedly low-key affair, focusing on bugfixes rather than an elaborate event like Summer Escape.
