The Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan didn’t earn a Primetime Emmy nomination, leaving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with a ‘run of bad luck’ according to a royal expert
When the Primetime Emmy nominations were announced on Wednesday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s documentary series was left out of the running, leaving them unhappy with the news according to a royal expert.
“But of course [the couple] will not show it,” added Ingrid Seward, royal expert and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine.
The Netflix series Harry & Meghan aired just three months after the death of Queen Elizabeth II in December 2022. The series was the first project within their multi-million dollar deal with Netflix, with rumours of the next documentary to either be about his charity for servicemen, Heart of Invictus, or something that includes Harry returning to Africa.
One of the biggest criticisms of the couple’s documentary series was how Meghan and Harry spoke about the royal family.
