A separate report from Apple Hub claimed that sitting on the Home Screen for just two minutes caused the device to overheat. Verma, and others experiencing the same issue, say they are concerned that the overheating may cause long-lasting battery damage. He added: "This gonna harm battery health here.. and what if something happens with motherboard because of heat? Will Apple fix that for free?" Fellow tech blogger Alex Gear & Tech said the issue was stopping him from charging the device. "Charging stopped again as the iPhone 15 Pro Max was too hot," he tweeted. "This time sitting idle at my desk, charging via USB-C." In his own video, a temperature check Alex conducted saw the device hit highs of 102 degrees Farenheit, nearly 39 degrees Celcius.
