Sales of Inter Miami shirts bearing Lionel Messi’s name have reached unprecedented levels over the summer but the MLS club seem to have found a solution to the demand
Inter Miami have found an ingenious way of coping with the demand for Lionel Messi shirts – despite jerseys currently being sold out.
Unprecedented demand has meant that the Herons’ pale pink strip has become something of a collector’s item following the superstar’s arrival. Front Office Sports previously reported that manufacturers Adidas have had to do six months of work in half that time to meet the backlog in orders.
Now, the Vice City outfit have come up with an innovative way of ensuring that supporters are able to get their hands on jerseys bearing the World Cup winner’s name after all. If would-be customers do not fancy waiting months for the latest shirt, they might be in luck.
That is because fans can now pick up the Floridan franchise’s previous strip with Messi’s name on the back instead from their club shop. The shirt, which was first produced when the club was established in 2020, is no longer in use by the team but it may now find new relevance for supporters.
