ALAN Cumming has become a household name over the years, thanks to his long career as an actor.
Not content with being just a star of the small screen, the Scotland-native has also conquered the big screen too.
Alan Cumming was born January 27, 1965 in Scotland to Alex Cumming and Mary Darling.
The star revealed he suffered emotional and physical violence at the hands of his father during his childhood in his autobiography, Not My Father’s Son, and claimed his mother was unable to get a divorce until she was financially independent.
He made his film debut in 1986 and made waves with his role in Ian Seller’s Prague a year later, landing the Best Actor award at the Atlantic Film Festival.
