Inside Peter Kay’s break from the limelight two years after he cancelled tour

Peter Kay sent fans into a frenzy when he announced he was going on tour in December having cancelled his last concert in 2017 due to “unforeseen family circumstances”

Peter Kay made fans’ day as he announced he was going on tour this year after retreating from the limelight.

The gig will be the comedian’s first live standup tour in 12 years after the star had to cancel his concert in 2017 due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

Tickets will go on sale for the UK shows at 10am on 12 November from Peter’s website, following an announcement on the Boltonian’s Twitter account, which read: “It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, standup comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now.

“And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010.”
