Inside £1.12m mansion bought by Grimsby’s first lottery jackpot winner

A SPRAWLING mansion which was snapped up by a sheet-metal worker who won £7.5million on the lottery has now been sold.

Roy Gibney struck lucky in 1998 and bought the six-bedroom mansion, which came with its own fishing lake, for £375,000.

Roy spent a fortune on transforming the mansion, putting in a 50ft indoor swimming pool with his winning numbers on the bottom.

The stunning property in Barnoldby-le-Beck, Lincs, has now been sold for £1.125m, according to reports in the Mirror.

The dream home, set in 17.6 acres of countryside, has something for all the family. The pool that Roy built all those years ago is still the star attraction, with its own changing and toilet facilities.
