I’m World Snooker champ but was forced to make 400-mile trip to recover lost cue

THE INCREDIBLE three-week saga of world champion Luca Brecel’s missing cue is finally over.

And the 28-year-old is now praying there will be no repeat as he prepares to fly out to China for the Shanghai Masters.

World No2 Brecel originally saw the vital piece of equipment go AWOL on a flight from Seattle to Frankfurt.

He was forced to play with a reserve cue in Nuremberg, where he missed out on the chance to go to No1.

But the airline finally informed him more than a week ago that the snooker cue had been both located and sent to his Belgium home.
