According to this mum, who says their home is otherwise filled with "love and laughter", she is currently on maternity leave caring for their five-and-a-half-month-old son, while her partner works full-time Monday to Friday. Her partner slept in the spare room each night for the first five months of their son's life, and she was the one responsible for all of their baby's night wakes and settles. For the past nine weeks, however, their child has been going through sleep regression, and so has been waking up an average of seven times each night. Her partner agreed when she asked him to do some of the nights, leaving her to sleep in the spare room, and so for the past fortnight, she's been waking with their baby five nights, while he's been sorting two, allowing her to get a bit more sleep. Taking to Reddit, the unnamed mother revealed: "Great so far, but every time my partner stays with our son he spends the whole next day complaining about how tired he is. To the point where he's not fun to be around, and spoils the atmosphere of the day. "I've asked him to simply not tell me he is feeling tired, I know he's feeling tired, that's being a parent, but I would prefer it if we could stay positive and have some fun family time. It also feels a little like he is trying to make me feel guilty for asking him to share the nights."
