A FAMILY has been left ‘shocked and horrified’ after swear words were scratched into their great-grandad’s car in a row over parking.
Johnny Lane, 84, had parked his Ford Galaxy on the street where his grand-daughter Emma Ewen, 41, lives while he took two of his great-grandchildren to visit family in Los Angeles.
Two weeks into the three-month trip, a furious Emma found the words ‘t***’ and ‘f*** off you a***hole’ scratched into the paintwork along with the rear tyres slashed.
The devastated pensioner has been forced to drive around with the sweary vandalism ever since the incident in July, due to the hefty price it would cost to fix it.
The family reported the crime to police but, as there isn’t any CCTV footage to prove who did it, no further action was taken.
