And while you may turn them on and off first thing in the morning and last thing at night, she points out that people often forget to clean their light switches. "Clean around switch with all-purpose cleaner," the cleaning whizz advises. And despite the age-old saying of 'out of sight, out of mind,' Caroline notes that's no excuse to forget to clean above your doors. "Use a duster," she recommends. The cleaning guru also urges people not to get to tackle the underneath of their appliances. "Vacuum away crumbs with the tiny nozzle," she recommends. Another common area in the home that's normally left untouched are shower heads, according to Caroline. To get these gleaming like new, she recommends spraying them with diluted vinegar. And last but not least, the cleaning fan reminds people to tackle underneath their rugs using a dust pan and brush. Caroline concludes: "Clean everything at least once a month."
