Mud and chocolate stains are among the trickiest splotches to wipe away. 1 An expert revealed how to get rid of stains on your car seats Credit: Getty Autobead's expert said: " Chocolate has the same consistency as dry mud, especially if it has not hardened. "It is important not to try and remove chocolate stains when soft, it will just work its way further into the material." But the cleaning whizz said you can get rid of the stains with a canny trick . They said: "An ice block or ice wrapped in a cloth, applied to the surface, will help the chocolate to harden quickly. "Taking care not to damage the cloth, especially leather or suede, scrape away any excess." You should then thoroughly brush the stained material to loosen and shake off the muck. Then vacuum the area and wipe it with a damp cloth - leaving your car as good as new. This method also works for coffee stains, but you should spray a deodoriser to get rid of the bad smell from soured milk. Another cleaning expert said you can also use baking soda to get rid of gross yellow stains on your pillows .
