I’m A Celebrity stars given code names to keep identity secret before show

THE I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of here stars were given code names by bosses before the show to keep their identities hidden.

ITV made sure to use the names in meetings, at photoshoots and in planning during the months of planning in the run-up to the show.

Last night, viewers of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here got to meet the new celebrity line-up for the first time on screen.

Among them were pop singer Boy George, former rugby star Mike Tindall, Coronation Street legend Sue Cleaver and Lioness Jill Scott.

But in the months leading up to the hit ITV programme, show bosses have been using nicknames to hide the identities of the stars.
