LIVING like a Barbie girl in a Barbie world might involve some plastic – but it’s not necessarily more fantastic.
Going to great lengths for a flawless figure has only become more popular thanks to the Barbie movie, but achieving the iconic doll’s look can have pitfalls – and a price tag of $100,000 or more.
More patients than ever are going to extreme measures to resemble the tiny-waisted characters from Barbieland, according to plastic surgeon Dr. Adam J. Rubinstein.
“A Barbie makeover in the context of plastic surgery refers to a set of procedures designed to transform an individual’s appearance to resemble the iconic Barbie doll,” he told The U.S. Sun.
He said some people are looking to emulate Barbie’s exaggerated proportions, including a tiny waist, large breasts, and other perfectly plastic features.
