Filming herself in her Wilko uniform performing a dance, Georgia wrote, 'Hyping myself up to endure 6 hours of being asked if Wilkos is closing down and if I'll lose my job.' She added: 'Don't ask.' The video, which has received over 40,000 views, with fellow workers sharing their own frustrations in the comments. 'Customers asked me today when things are going cheap,' one annoyed clerk wrote. Another added, 'I feel your pain.' Responding to the comments, Georgia joked that fellow employees should 'ring in sick' rather than face the customers. Meanwhile customers were keen to offer their sympathies. One commented, 'Apologies in advance my mum will def be one of those people.' The bargain retailer filed a notice of intent to appoint administrators on Thursday. Wilko chief executive Mark Jackson confirmed there has been "significant levels of interest" but that the business has not yet received an offer. And it has resulted in the retailer having to take the "difficult decision to file an NOI [notice of intention]." He said: "We'll continue to progress discussions with interested parties with the aim of completing a transaction which preserves the business."
