The process sees hair extensions integrated with the customer's hair and connected to a mesh hairpiece which is place at the root. Ms Collins advertised herself as a hair loss specialist and an award winning stylist. After they were installed, Shauna claims the extensions and her own hair started to fall out. And she was left bald within just four weeks. Her scalp began to bleed and she also suffered from horrific blistering leaving painful scars. She told the Daily Record: "Mandy was meant to be qualified and the best at what she does. "She was confident she could fit the hair extensions and took £1,300 up front in cash. "As soon as the hair extensions were in, problems started. "The hair piece only covered half of my head. When I complained Mandy told me I needed more rows of extensions fitted, which I had done. "I could still see the mesh visibly through my own hair. On January 4, she charged me another £50 to 'fix' it with a different installation method to give me fuller coverage. "Less than a week later the mesh hairpiece and extensions were loose and hanging onto my head by two or three strands of hair.
