A driver who recently moved to a new neighbourhood says they thought they were being quite generous when they offered to let their neighbour use their spare parking space for a discount price, and certainly didn’t expect to be accused of ‘highway robbery’
When making the move to a new area, it’s always good to at least start off on good terms with your neighbours, ensuring you don’t end up with any unnecessary bad feeling before you even get to know each other.
Unfortunately, one person has found themselves in a bit of an awkward position after offering to let their new neighbour use their extra parking spot for a fee. According to this driver, they live in a city where “parking is few and far between”, but they’re lucky in that their new semi-detached house comes with two parking spaces.
Shortly after they moved in, their neighbour stopped by to introduce himself and asked outright whether he might be allowed to use their extra parking spot full-time, as he currently has to park out on the street.
They told their neighbour they’d need a bit of time to think it over, and came back to him with what they felt was a fair proposition that could work well for all involved.
