But instead of coming home with a slimmed down frame, Janet, from Accrington, Lancashire, was admitted to hospital with sepsis after the procedure left her with rotting and gaping holes. Now, the account manager is warning others of the dangers of having treatments abroad, as she said it's something she regrets 'so much'. Before having the treatment, Janet said she was told they would also have to give her liposuction, which she agreed to. After having the procedure, which cost £4,300, Janet said she initially didn't feel too bad because she had been sleeping a lot. "You're in a lot of pain but you don't know what's normal and what's not so you just get on with it. "Day three I was sent back to the hotel and things started getting really bad. I was shivering uncontrollably to the point where my teeth were chattering. "I contacted the coordinators to get a nurse to come to the room. She did my blood pressure and it was really low but she said 'it's absolutely fine, it's just from the anaesthetic'." But the next day, Janet said her symptoms switched and that she had been burning up and sweating. She was told by the nurse that this was down to stress, but Janet said she knew something wasn't right. "It was just really scary.
