WHEN five-year-old Cait Fitton was asked by a teacher what she wanted to be when she grew up, she didn’t hesitate: An actress on Coronation Street.
Now, 16 years on and after several walk-on parts through her childhood and a failed audition, that dream has finally turned into reality and she is playing troubled Lauren Bolton.
In an exclusive interview Cait told The Sun on Sunday: “The teacher asked us, ‘What do you want to be when you’re older?’
“Children were saying ‘a fireman’ or ‘a nurse’, and I said, ‘I want to be in Coronation Street’.
“I remember all the teachers were amused, they couldn’t believe it.
