‘I came home to find my neighbour and her kids in our pool

A homeowner has taken to social media to share how her ‘entitled neighbour’ broke into her garden to take her children swimming in her pool, as she claims she has every right to be there

A woman has been praised for turning her back on her ‘entitled neighbour’ who started swimming in her pool without permission. The 29-year-old explained how she often babysits for her neighbour – a single mum of three – but has never once been offered payment for her time.

Despite this, she continues to help her out knowing she doesn’t have anybody else to turn to. However, she decided “enough is enough” after her neighbour started breaking into her property to swim in her pool with her children.

Taking to Reddit, the woman said: “I live with my husband in a nice house in a smaller town. We have a double income with no kids. Our house has a pool in the yard, it’s really nice since it does get quite hot during summers. Our neighbour, 32, is a single mum of three. Her house doesn’t have a pool and it’s a lot smaller than ours. Both me and my husband babysit for her sometimes which is why I know this.

“Yesterday morning, when my husband had already left for work and I had started to work from home, I heard noises from our yard. So I went to check and our neighbour and her kids were swimming in our pool.” Confused, the woman went outside to ask her neighbour what she was doing – and was shocked to hear how she wanted to “treat her children to a swim” on her day off work.
