OWNERS of electric cars have reported instantly regretting buying their vehicles for a number of reasons.
Hundreds of thousands have already made the switch to electric vehicles (EVs) from traditional petrol and diesel motors.
But a new survey in France has revealed more than half of owners of an EV now wish they had made a different decision.
Many buyers have doubts over their purchase, according to the study by Monta, in collaboration with analysis consultancy YouGov.
Some 54 per cent of owners of electric vehicles admitted they regretted their EV because of the uptick in electricity costs, according to the survey.
