‘I almost was not allowed to fly back home as my passport photo was too hot’

Alisha Marie is a 30-year-old beauty content creator from Los Angeles, California who has gone viral on TikTok account @alishamarie with over 16 million views due to a hilarious misunderstanding at the airport. In the trending video, Alisha filmed herself in an airport in Istanbul, Turkey where she is wearing a casual look in a black baseball cap and matching hoodie with her hair in a ponytail with no makeup. While laughing, Alisha explained: ‘They almost didn’t let me on my flight because they said I don’t look like my passport.’ She then revealed her passport photograph, in which she appeared dressed up in full-glam makeup with her hair styled into bangs. Alisha said: ‘This is why you should never do hot photos for your passport. Never. Because I don’t look like this.’ She then took off her baseball cap after showing her passport photograph so the viewer can see the difference between the photograph and her current appearance, which prompts Alisha to burst out laughing while the friend filming her begins to laugh as well. In the caption of the video, Alisha wrote: ‘I’ve never been so humbled in my life.’ Despite the brief delay and confusion, Alisha was able to board her flight and get passed security. In the comment section, people praised Alisha for her good humour over the situation as many users found the situation hilarious.
