TV and stream details of the 2023 Women’s World Cup final as England prepare to take on Spain after beating co-hosts Australia 3-1 in their semi-final clash
Clear your calendars, England are in a World Cup final.
The Lionesses booked their place in the final showdown against Spain on Sunday with an emphatic 3-1 win over co-hosts Australia in Sydney. Ella Toone opened the scoring in the first half, but Sam Kerr showed why she’s the best in the world with an outstanding strike from range to put Australia back on level terms in the second half.
As they have done throughout the tournament, Sarina Wiegman’s side weathered the storm and mustered up a response 10 minutes later as Lauren Hemp capitalised on a defensive error to restore England’s lead. Alessia Russo then put their progression beyond doubt by making it 3-1 with just minutes left to play.
They will now take on Spain in the final show piece on Sunday. Jorge Vilda’s side secured their spot on Tuesday beating Sweden 2-1 in the other semi-final.
