Houston Harris County shooting: ‘At least’ 4 people shot dead in possible family dispute

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a home in Cypressbrook Drive in Houston, Harris County, Texas, at around 11am amid reports of a shooting reportedly involving family members

At least two people have been shot dead and two others have been transported to hospital with gunshot wounds in Houston, Texas, following a “possible family dispute”, according to cops.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at around 11am to a residence in Cypressbrook Drive amid reports of a shooting. It is believed the shots were potentially fired due to a family dispute. None of the victims have been identified. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that a family fight argument may been the cause of the deadly shooting.

“Two persons are confirmed deceased on-scene, two others with gunshot wounds have been transported to the hospital”, Mr Gonzalez tweeted. “Incident possibly stemmed from a break-up/divorce, but not yet confirmed. The scene is contained, no active threat to neighbors/community.”

The Sheriff previously tweeted officers were on their way to the scene after responding to the shooting. He tweeted: “Deputies are responding to a residence at the 8700 blk of Cypressbrook Drive. Preliminary info, scene is still active: multiple people shot possibly stemming from a family dispute. At least 4 persons deceased. I’m en-route to the scene.” No further details have been provided.”
