CORONATION Street has cast Line of Duty star Darren Morfitt in an upcoming storyline – and it spells bad news for Stu Carpenter.
The actor, 49, will play Dom Everett who first appears in the ITV soap when he makes contact with Stu’s 11-year-old granddaughter.
Insiders tell The Sun that Dom is the father of Stu’s granddaughter Eliza.
He arrives in Weatherfield trying to reconnect with his daughter after finding out about her mother going to prison.
The storyline kicks off early next month, and Darren will first appear on the cobbles next week.
