Fans rushed to social media to agree with the soap star's proposition, as they lamented over the show ending. "Just cannot believe they got rid of Holby at all, great viewing numbers, great cast, great storylines. But will fill channels with rubbish! I say bring back Holby," one shared, whilst another added: "Holby City should never have been axed. It was a brilliant series." Amazon confirmed today that Neighbours would be back for a special series next year, with some of the legendary cast returning to make the exciting announcement to their fans on social media. Davood Ghadami has called for the return of Holby City – just hours after Neighbours was rebooted.
The EastEnders actor – who also played Eli Ebrahimi on the axed BBC One show – has called for the show, which ended recently to much disappointment from fans, to make its return to screens after Amazon’s Freevee picked up Neighbours.
Neighbours will return for a new series next year, just five months after the show was axed. Now, Davood has suggested Amazon could do the same with Holby City – and fans are thrilled by the idea.
