Untouchable singers Rialto will be taking to the stage at the Shiiine On Weekender music festival at Butlin’s Maidenhead Arena in November after decades away from the scene
Forgotten rock band Rialto are set to make a major music comeback more than twenty years after they split – and decades after they made music history.
The group – formed by singer-songwriter Louis Eliot and guitarist Jonny Bull – were one of the most hotly tipped new bands of the late 1990s, but were beset with bad luck despite chart success. Their single, Untouchable, broke into the Top 20 in 1998 and they had two other top 40 songs with Monday Morning 5.19 and Dream Another Dream.
The band also hold the honour of being the first ever UK group to sell a song exclusively on the internet. Long-loyal fans have been left delighted by the news that the group are back together and hitting the road following a 21 year absence by playing at a music festival in Butlin’s.
Announcing their news online, Rialto wrote on Instagram: “We are beyond excited to tell you that RIALTO will be performing at Shiiine On Weekender on 18th November! We want to say thanks to all of you that have been listening to the music all this time. We cannot wait to play for you again!” Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Terrorvision and The Wonder Stuff are among other bands taking to the stage at the Shiiine On weekender – which is taking place at Butlin’s in Maidenhead from 17-19 November.
