A hiker found dead next to his dog has left cops, doctors, and vets unable to agree how the pair died – leading to a $20million lawsuit from his heartbroken family.
Aron Christensen, from Portland, US, 49, and his four-month old Australian Shepherd puppy, Buzzo, were both found dead on the Walupt Lake Trail in Lewis County in August, 2022.
Police initially believed Aron died of a heart attack but a medical examiner later discovered a bullet in his body, which has left investigators baffled.
A bear hunter then came forward to claim his 19-year-old son, Ethan Asbach, had shot an animal just moments before he discovered Aron and his deceased dog.
