The students of Truham and Higgs venture to Paris on a joint school trip and Nick is heard speaking French as he plans to meet up with his French businessman dad Stéphane. Nick even places the group's order at a Parisian ice cream stand, much to his friend's surprise, and receives a compliment from the vendor on his accent. Despite impressing other characters, actor Kit was so nervous about talking French that he even had nightmares. He has admitted he doesn't actually speak the language and had to take up lessons to master the accent. Kit confessed he told producers he could speak French "here and there" during the audition process, but only ever took lessons at school. He had to have a French teacher who focused on trying to make the actor sound like he knew how to speak the language as much as possible.
