Harry and Meghan are seeing both successes and failures in Hollywood. Insiders claim they seem to be lacking some direction and insiders are pointing fingers
Despite finding some success, many critics would argue Prince Harry and Meghan are still struggling to get established in Hollywood. A royal insider is now blaming their blunder on a lack of planning.
The source told PEOPLE: “There wasn’t necessarily a five-year plan.” Plus, Joe Quenqua, a senior media strategist, told the publication that the couple seem to be going through some “serious growing pains”.
Even without a thorough plan, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did manage to release a record-breaking Netflix show and strike a deal with Spotify for a podcast. Harry even put out a bestselling book with his memoir Spare. However, it didn’t take long for some of these media enterprises to crumble.
By June 2023, their podcast deal fell through. Spotify axed the Meghan’s Archetypes before it was even finished. According to the Wall Street Journal, staff from Archewell echoed the sentiment that the pair didn’t have much of a plan. According to the source, the podcast “often lacked direction”. Plus, apparently the couple wasn’t prepared for the work load necessary to actually finish all their entertainment projects.
