A couple with a mutual love of all things Halloween and spooky embraced their dark sides at their wedding, having a ‘goth’ celebration with heavy metal music and a skull cake
Not everyone wants a big, white wedding, with the organ echoing as you glide up the aisle. How about something at the other end of the spectrum with a bit of heavy metal music thrown in for good measure? That’s what one bride has opted for and she is delighted with her Halloween-themed celebration.
For many Halloween is a once-a-year occasion to dress up and go trick or treating. But for Kirsty Boultbee, 44, a customer service assistant from Swadlincote, Derbyshire, it is a very special day because she is obsessed with the scary event. Fortunately, it is something she has in common with her new husband, Chris, 45.
It was only natural, therefore, that In keeping with their mutual love of Halloween, their wedding day was also suitably spooky in tone, with lots of black, spiders, skulls, pumpkins and heavy metal tunes.
Despite the âdark’ themes of the day, Kirsty wore a white dress with black lace on it, with a black and purple bouquet with tiny skulls attached. While her wedding shoes had âuntil death’ written on the side.
