'Has anyone else had new coffee machines installed in their local Greggs ?' someone posted. 'We've noticed the coffee is so bitter since they've changed but customer services don't want to know.' Fellow coffee critics took to the comments to weigh in. 'Yes, it's defo changed,' one penned. 'The new machines also don't make the coffee as hot,' another moaned. Greggs coffee starts as cheap as £1.25 and can cost just over £3 at maximum if you add syrups or extra espresso shots. It charges £2.35 for a regular cappuccino and £2.85 for a large. Regarding caffeine levels , Greggs has 225mg in a £1.40 cup of filter coffee. 'At Greggs, our coffee beans are always freshly ground," a blurb on the bakery chain's website reads.
