It comes as The Great British Bake Off released its highly-anticipated 2023 trailer last month, giving fans a first look at new presenter, Alison Hammond, in the famous tent ahead of the show's return. The clip sees This Morning icon Alison, 48, with co-host Noel Fielding, and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood. In the trailer, it starts with a playful group of ingredients embarking on an epic journey to the iconic tent. Upon reaching the tent, the ingredients accomplish their dream as they become part of the iconic chocolate and raspberry cake, which eagle-eyed fans will recall appears in the opening titles. The trailer ends with the judges and presenters tucking into the tasty cake, where it gives a first look at Alison in her hosting role after taking over from Matt Lucas. It comes as Alison was exclusively unveiled as comedian Matt's, 49, replacement by The Mirror earlier this year. Alison also confirmed the news on Twitter tweeting: 'It's Official!! It's happening The Great British Bake off! let's have it – The cake that is so excited @BritishBakeOff @Channel4 @PrueLeith @PaulHollywood @noelfielding11 #GBBO." Matt revealed in December he was stepping down from the presenting role after appearing in the last three series as he could no longer commit to the programme's schedule alongside his other projects.
