Manchester United co-owner Joel Glazer is believed to be involved in discussions regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future in the wake of his explosive interview with Piers Morgan
Joel Glazer is set to have the final say on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future in the wake of the Portuguese superstar’s stunning attack on the Manchester United co-owner and his family.
Ronaldo targeted a number of high-profile figures at Old Trafford during an explosive interview with Piers Morgan, which has gone viral in recent days. The full 90-minute chat, which was not sanctioned by the club, is due to air over the course of Wednesday and Thursday.
After initially claiming he felt “betrayed” and taking aim at Erik ten Hag, Ronaldo also hit out at the Glazer family; insisting that United’s unpopular owners do not care about the club.
The 37-year-old’s position at United is now believed to be considered untenable in the wake of his latest misdemeanour – which comes just weeks after he refused to come on as a substitute during a match against Tottenham and stormed off in a strop before the conclusion of the game.
