 Netflix actors including Orange Is The New Black actress Kimiko Glenn and Gilmore Girls star Sean Gunn are speaking out against the streaming service, amidst strike action. This come as US union Sag-Aftra voted unanimously to walk out, following weeks of unsuccessful negotiations. Months after the Writers Guild of America (WGA) began their strike, Sag members have now followed suit. Yesterday, the cast of Oppenheimer left the UK premiere early in solidarity, as Christopher Nolan said they were 'off to write their picket signs'. Sean, who played Kirk Gleason, has also been vocal in his criticism of Netflix. While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter on the picket lines for the Sag-Aftra strike, he said: 'I also particularly wanted to come out and protest Netflix. 'It has been one of their most popular shows for a very long time, over a decade. It gets streamed over and over and over again, and I see almost none of the revenue that comes into that.' The 49-year-old added: 'The CEOs of Netflix, Reed Hastings and Ted Sarandos, give each other bonuses in the 10s of millions dollars. 'I don't understand why they can't lessen those bonuses to share the wealth more with the people who have created the content that has gotten them rich.' In a now-viral video, Kimiko, 34, shows a letter detailing her royalty pay from the streaming service. Kimiko, who played Brook Soso, then began singing the soundtrack before focusing on the total pay earned, which was $27.30 – this works out to be roughly £20. She then shouted 'WHAT.'
