Rex Heuermann, 59, a prominent New York City architect has been arrested in connection with the murders of the ‘Gilgo Four’ – four women whose bodies were discovered along Ocean Parkway in 2010
After the identity of a man arrested in connection with the decades-old Gilgo Beach murders was shared, a chilling video interview in which he refers to himself as a “troubleshooter” has emerged.
59-year-old architect and Long Island resident Rex Heuermann was arrested by police outside his Manhattan office last night, July 13. His arrest is in connection with the deaths of the so-called ‘Gilgo Four’ – four women found wrapped in burlap during a search for a missing person in December 2010.
The case has remained unsolved for almost 13 years, with the latest development sparking huge interest in the suspect. Heuermann founded an architectural business RH Consultants & Associated, Inc. in 1994. According to the website, Heuermann’s clients “include Catholic Charities, NYC-DEP Sewerage Treatment and American Airlines and other major tenants at the JFK International Airport.”
A year ago the now-murder suspect gave an interview to Bonjour Reality, talking about how his business started. In it, he described himself saying: “I’m an architect, I’m an architectural consultant, I’m a troubleshooter, born and raised on Long Island, been working in Manhattan since 1987.”
