Gigi Hadid has officially signed off Twitter for good following Elon Musk’s controversial $44billion takeover.
The 51-year-old Tesla owner’s recent £38billion takeover of Twitter has dominated the headlines with one of the main controversies being the billionaire CEO’s plan to make blue tick verification – which has previously only been for public figures, celebrities, journalists and large organisations – available to everyone, providing they pay the $8 (£7) fee.
The supermodel recently voiced her opinion over the dramatic changes and slammed the app’s ‘new leadership.’
Explaining her reasoning behind deleting the popular platform, she penned via Instagram Stories: ‘For a long time, but especially with its new leadership, it’s becoming more and more of a cesspool of hate and bigotry, and its not a place I want to be a part of.
