FIFA haven't commented on when Infantino will be back - although he almost certainly will return before the tournament comes to a close on August 20. His official instagram account have continued to tweet tournament photos. Infantino's exit comes amid controversy over prize money issues and the pay gap to the men's game. Australia's female stars have criticised the difference between what the men can earn at a World Cup and what women can hope for. Infantino himself had threatened a Women's World Cup broadcast blackout in five major European countries - including England - over what he labelled unacceptable offers of media rights ahead of the tournament. At the time he noted that 'broadcasters pay $100 to 200million for the men's FIFA World Cup, but they offer only $1 to 10 million for the FIFA Women's World Cup.'
